The Association of People Persecuted by the Tax Office (APÜSZ) has turned to the Chief Public Prosecutor, Péter Polt to initiate a nullity suit because Premier Gyurcsány’s company had obtained illegally the real estate in Szalay street, Budapest from the state.
From the company registry documents the names of Elemér Kiss, former Chancellery Minister, Ákos Erdős and Ádám Szilas, former business partners of the Prime Minister, and György Szilvásy, former undersecretary of the Prime Minister’s Office have been also emerged while the wife of György Szilvásy was employed by Ferenc Gyurcsány in the critical period. Szabolcs Szerdahelyi, chairman of APÜSZ claims in his letter to Péter Polt that the transaction was illegal and unethical and it is a totally cynical approach adopted by the official standpoint that it was only the state that committed the crime of misappropriation while Premier Gyurcsány is regarded as an innocent, though smart entrepreneur.
