Though the cabinet constantly declares the importance of a thrifty government, it is not reflected in its actions as it creates newer and newer government positions. Recently they have created a special minister’s commissioner’s post for cyclists’ affairs. In the different ministries and offices there are about fifty state secretaries and sixty-seven undersecretaries. In Premier Gyurcsány closer service, in the Prime Minister’s Office there is a minister, there are 11 state secretaries and 6 undersecretaries who have high salaries and service cars. In the Orbán government there had been much less government posts for the same tasks.
