Mainly the points to be performed by the budget were neglected. The poultry- and pig-farming received until the end of September only HUF 4 billion instead of the earmarked sum of HUF 10 billion. The government has not kept its promises to help flood victims in the Hernád valley, and the poultry farmers made bankrupt by Hajdú-Bét Company have not been paid any compensation, either. Professor József Ángyán, agricultural expert of Magosz claims eight points out of fifteen have not been fulfilled in the agreement while András Pásztohy, political state secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture claims 90 pc of the pledges have been fulfilled. Magosz wants to incorporate in the future national law of guarantees that the government be obliged to give national and EU agricultural subsidies in time. The deadline of the resubmission of petitions concerning land- based subsidies following corrections is November 21 so it is highly doubtful if farmers can receive the payment this year. There had been 30 000 such petitions sent back to farmers for correction.
