RUMBLING PROPAGANDA MACHINERY

The government advertises its alleged tax cut from the taxpayers’ money. The propaganda machinery of the government is working at full speed. It distributes leaflets about the programme of pension corrections announced by Premier Gyurcsány and last week they started the propaganda campaign in the printed and electronic media about tax cut plans for more than HUF 100 million.

Fidesz claims the government uses again the taxpayers’ money to try to conceal the fact of raising dozens of taxes and the introduction of new kinds of taxes. The different propaganda campaigns of the government have cost already hundreds of millions of forints and have been criticized by the ombudsman of data protection, too. The advertising campaign of the Hungarian Socialist Party has also caused indignation. The editor of National Geographic Hungary has excused their readers recently for a Socialist ad published in their magazine and the ombudsman of data protection has started an examination in the case of the Socialists’ telephone campaign, too.
