„Viktor Orban is a great leader and man. The wonderful people of Hungary are lucky to have him,” former Republican US President Donald Trump said on the new Truth Social networking site.

Trump spoke again after former Fox News host Tucker Carlson had prepared an interview with PM Orban, as he had already thanked Mr Orban for his words of praise earlier.

During the interview, in which Mr Orban was quizzed about peace and the Russia-Ukraine war, among other things, Mr Carlson underlined that the key was in America's hands, i.e. if the US wanted peace, there could be peace the next morning, because it was clear that Ukraine alone could not stand its ground in this war.

The solution is in Your hands

– Mr Orban said.

Regarding the United States, PM Orban explained that the only way out of the current situation was for former US President Donald Trump to return to power and pursue a foreign policy similar to his previous one.

He had the best foreign policy of the past decades. He has not initiated another war. He has dealt well with North Korea and Russia, even China, and has pursued a policy that's been the best for the Middle East.

– Mr Orban said, adding that if Trump had been president when the Russian invasion began, the Russians would not have been able to do this.
