AUDIT OFFICE BLAMED BY KŐBÁNYA

The Socialist mayor of Kőbánya (a district of Budapest) and the leaders of the property management of the district refute that they are responsible for the HUF half a billion loss of the company. They say the examination of the National Audit Office is based on erroneous calculations.

The company in question, Kőbeta Company claims the Audit Office has disregarded certain points of view in its examination while Zoltán Lóránt, general director of Audit Office says the self-government was negligent in its management. The opposition of the assembly wanted to file a suit for fraud but the pro-government majority discarded this option.
