IS RON WERBER JUST A TOURIST?

If he gets no answers, Répássy MP will turn to the authorities. According to Sándor Burány, Minister of Labour Ron Werber, Israeli campaign adviser of the Socialist Party does not work in Hungary so he does not need any permit to stay or to work here. Róbert Répássy finds this reaction ridiculous.

Péter Szijjártó MP (Fidesz) wanted to know on what grounds Ron Werber stayed and worked in Hungary and Sándor Burány in his letter said there was no need to regulate this issue because the law granted any Israeli citizen a visafree stay of 90 days in Hungary and the contract for the work had been concluded between the Hungarian Socialist Party and the Werber Public Affairs company. Répássy MP finds this argument ridiculous, saying that Ron Werber probably received 10 thousand dollars as a tourist for his former study. ’One cannot regard Ron Werber’s work in Hungary as campaign manager only a work of charity’, he added, saying he would ask the minister again in the parliament on Monday about the issue. Ron Werber in January left Hungary but in mid-March József Tóbiás, party director announced his return to help the party in the election campaign for the European Parliament ’and in the following years’.
