Fidesz: the tax reduction proposal of the cabinet is just a campaign trick.

Mol Company announced yesterday the raise of petrol and diesel oil by HUF 6/litre while there has been no decision yet about the HUF 2 tax reduction of fuel. According to the plan the government would cut the excise tax of petrol and diesel oil if their price rises after two consecutive Mondays above HUF 250 or 225 respectively. According to Fidesz this plan is just an illusory measure to improve the general mood. Fuel prices are highest in Hungary in the region and the government loses a great income because Hungarian motorists fill up their tanks in neighbouring countries.
