The Financial Department of Investigation of the Central Police will hear as witnesses people close to the Hungarian Socialist Party who have taken part with their companies in utilizing the Russain state debt, Magyar Nemzet has been informed. In December 2002, when he had talks in Moscow, Premier Medgyessy had to remit 62 million dollars of the Russian state debt because some firms close to the Hungarian Socialist Party have not paid their debts up to this very day.The registers of the companies and those of the Hungarian Treasury are so contradictory that witnesses must be heard in the complicated case but no one has been heard suspected of fraud. Several firms affected also in the so-called ’oil-gate’ scandal took part in the business, among them Lorry Ltd, Bertinus Ltd, Nádor Company, Gaz Impex Ltd, Petroltank Company, all connected with or owned by pro-Socialist entrepreneurs. The Central Police started its investigation in July last year when the Government Supervision Office filed a report in the case.
