RESTORING ORDER IN BKV URGED

Mayor Demszky may be also responsible for the HUF 100 million fraud.

According to Fidesz the immediate publication of the secret report about Budapest Transport Company (BKV) is necessary.
’It is quite unacceptable that they speak in public about the deficit of BKV while a document is kept in secret which proves a HUF 100 million fraud’, said András Kupper, Fidesz faction leader yesterday. It is well known that in the vehicle repair shop of BKV there has been revealed the evidence of fraud and tax evasion but neither the supervising committee of BKV nor the special committees of the metropolitan assembly have not been informed about it. Mr Kupper said the situation clearly shows Mayor Demszky’s responsibility, too. László Zsinka, faction leader of MIÉP (Hungarian Justice and Life Party) also urged restoring order in BKV as the so-called reorganization programme of BKV resulted in fact in stealing more public money. Tamás Szentgyörgyi, deputy director general of BKV Company recognized the sale of material reserve worth in theory HUF 100 million but the superfluous material could be sold only for HUF 2,4 million.
