The Ministry of Informatics and Communication pays an uncommonly high price, HUF 1 million for each computer won on a tender by nursery schools in almost three hundred small villages. Experts claim computers with such a configuration may be obtained for half or third of this price on the market though these ones have a ’cocoa-safe’ keyboard as well. The tender was written out by the ministry headed by the Alliance of Free Democrats. The nursery-school teachers find the programme useful according to György Csepeli, state secretary of the ministry but Zsuzsa Léder, paedagogical psychologist of Semmelweis University finds it explicitly detrimental as four-year-old children should rather be in their community and it is too early for them to get used to computers.
