LAY-OFF EXPECTED IN PUBLIC SPHERE

According to informations from Socialist sources there is a 5-18 pc lay-off expected early next year in the ministries and in the attached state-owned background institutions.

The technical details of the lay-off are being prepared by the Ministry of Finance. Because of economic considerations a similar lay-off took place last September in the different ministries. The representative of the Trade Union of Civil Servants claims there was no real economic result of the dismissals and finds the plans irrational as the new administrative requirement of Hungary need even more civil servants.
