SOCIALIST CAMPAIGN FROM THE TAXPAYERS’ MONEY

’The real issue of the EP-election is the peace of people, that is, will there be unrest in the streets and do politics intrude in churches and families, or not’, said Prime Minister Péter Medgyessy in Debrecen on Saturday on an election campaign rally of the Socialists – just in front of the symbolic Great Church of the Reformed Church. He said the tone of the campaign became too harsh and people were fed up with election propaganda. During his speech the Socialist activists distributed brochures of the Plan of Europe published from public money and Socialist leaflets with the red carnation emblem. Premier Medgyessy inaugurated on Saturday a border crossing at Létavértes which is absolutely useless because on the Romanian side there is no connecting road, only fields with a dirt road.
