The company of Gyula Hering, Socialist representative has been commissioned by the self-government of Pécs to provide subsidized meals for senior citizens, for nurseries and schools. The total vale of the contract is HUF 2,5 billion. The opposition finds the contract incompatible with the position of Mr Hering who had been attacked for his past as well because he spent nine months in a correctional prison for young offenders for stealing from his mother. Csaba Nagy, faction leader of Fidesz in the assembly of Pécs finds the contract totally incompatible with Mr Hering’s position and says it is unprecedented that a contract is concluded with a validity until 2011. Gyula Hering said they had the cheapest bid for the tender.
