INQUIRY ABOUT ATROCITIES IN THE VOIVODINA

Kinga Gál and Zsolt Becsey, representatives of the European People’s Party have visited the Voivodina to see evidences of atrocities agains Hungarians and traces of vandalism in Hungarian cemeteries.

The representatives said on their press briefing in Szeged that the atrocities against Hungarians had been parts of a long process in the Voivodina. It is important to confirm the rule of the law to protect minorities and to help regional programmes of the European Union in the Voivodina. Since then new anti-Hungarian graffitis have appeared and there have been reports about new incidents.
