MAVIR TO BE PRIVATIZED, TOO?

A report in the possession of Magyar Nemzet shows that there is a plan to sell MAVIR Company, which directs Hungarian electricity in the industry and in this way the whole electric network of the country can become the property of a multinational company.

The report warns of the danger that this monopoly can dominate the whole Hungarian market and endanger the safety of the network of electricity. In Hungary the power stations and services are almost totally privatized. MAVIR Company is planned to be transformed into a transmission operational system to weaken Hungarian Electricity Company (MVM).
