MAYOR DEMSZKY HAS A DRIVER TO ISTRIA

Gábor Demszky, Mayor of Budapest rents a jeep for half of the market price, though he has taken his service car and driver, too to his summer holiday in Istria, Croatia.

Mayor Demszky rents a jeep for HUF 156 000 for a month for his family. He rents the car because his family may not drive his service car while his own driving licence was withdrawn in May. His service car can be used in an unlimited way both in Hungary and abroad with a driver day and night, even during the Mayor’s holiday. The Mayor has a holiday resort in Croatia and his net salary is over HUF 1 million as he is also a member of the European Parliament.
