It was yesterday when employees in catering establishments had to observe the new regulation about the closing stock-taking of all alcoholic beverages. This meant an extra one or two hours for employees who had to stay there to measure the daily consumption. People who neglect this may be punished for HUF half a million. Employees have not been adequately informed about the new law and they have quite contradictory views about the exact procedure. They claim the new regulation is irrational and it is just a new form of taxation. The trade union of caterers wants to modify the law and considers actions while the government and opposition parties blame each other for the chaotic regulations.
