DEMETER URGES STATEMENT

’It is getting clear that there was no mere coincidence that there were frauds in K&H Equities and in the motorway companies in relation to a series of government decisions’, said Ervin Demeter MP (Fidesz).

The chairman of the already not functioning parliamentary committee examining the case reacted to the article in Magyar Nemzet claiming that Zoltán Bodnár, general director of the National Motorway Company and president of the State Motorway Management Company had met several times Attila Kulcsár just before the outbreak of the scandal. HUF 16 billion of the motorway companies went to K&H Equities where it was used for illegal transactions. Now HUF 4,2 billion is blocked as it is surmised that the money is the result of these transactions. It has turned out that Péter Bárándy, Minister of Justice had also met Kulcsár though he denied it first.
