HOSPITAL FOR SALE

Investor is wanted in newspaper ads to operate the hospital in Siklós.

For HUF 12 million one can be a majority owner though in fact he or she will buy a more than HUF 100 million debt, too with the hospital. The ads have been published in the regional daily Délmagyarország and in Népszabadság. In the public utility endowment the town of Siklós has 94 pc of the shares and they wish to sell 70-75 pc, said Sándor Kozma, deputy mayor of Siklós. Though the hospital has received more than HUF 50 million for consolidation from the Ministry of Health, the debt remained and without the necessary developments the State Public Health Office may close down the hospital which serves 50 000 people in the region. The press department of the Ministry said they could not interfere in the business of the self-government which owned the hospital.
