The Ministry of Informatics might have cancelled the tender for ’cocoa-safe’ computers for kindergartens because one of the conditions had not been met by the winner company. The Ministry says the Prime Minister’s Office is responsible for the deal while the central service management of the Prime Minister’s Office claims they supervise only the legal aspects of a tender. The original tender was about 400 plus 50 pc computers but Haitech Ltd which made the only valid bid offered only 269 IBM Kidsmart computers for HUF 1 million 77 000 each, e.g. it could not cope with one of the conditions of the tender.
