WAGE-INCREASE FOR LEADERS OF ÁPV COMPANY

Tibor Draskovics, Minister of Finance has increased the salaries of all the leaders of State Privatization and Property Management (ÁPV) Company from July 1. Tamás Mészáros, president of the board of directors has got a raise from a monthly HUF 1 million to HUF 1 million 150 000, his deputy, István Vásárhelyi has HUF 800 000 from 700 000, the nine members of the board get HUF 550 000 instead of 430 000, the chairman of the supervising committee receives a salary of HUF 780 000 instead of 600 000 and the eight members of the committee get HUF 350 000 instead of the former 270 000. Miklós Kamarás, general director of the company gets HUF 2,5 million instead of HUF 1,6 million for a month. The press office of company said the raises were necessary because since 1999 there had been no wage-increases. Other personal allowances have been doubled in ÁPV company within a year, too.
