WEKLER LOBBYING FOR MÓRÁGY

Ferenc Wekler said to Magyar Nemzet he had been lobbying for annexing Mórágy to the Szekszárd wine region.

The deputy Speaker of parliament (Association of Free Democrats) had bought lands at Mórágy and he claimed that by the extension of the Szekszárd wine region a more stable supply of quality wine could be attained. The politician said there are 22 wine regions in Hungary and Mórágy did not gain any advantage by having been annexed to the Szekszárd region by the modification of the wine law. Máriusz Révész, spokesman of Fidesz said if it turned out that Mr Wekler had applied a political pressure for changing the law he might be unworthy of his post in parliament.
