The Szekszárd Council turned to the Ministry of Agriculture with the request to restore the original situation. The modification of the wine law had been accepted on the proposition of Ferenc Wekler MP (Free Democrats) without any consultation with the vintners. Ferenc Wekler, deputy Speaker of the parliament has a land at Mórágy so the change was profitable for him, besides the politician received a HUF 270 million state subsidy for planting vines. The Free Democrats have not sanctioned the deals of Ferenc Wekler but Fidesz has initiated a procedure of incompatibility against him.
