The village of Ebes has been damaged by HUF 54 million because of a retroactive law. The Medgyessy government has brought a law retroacively about changing the tax reductions for creating new jobs. The village gave a tax allowance to an investor who created more than 250 new jobs but the government decided to tax even the allowances so there is no money returned from the budget to help undeveloped regions in this way.
