IMRE MAKOVECZ CONSIDERS LEGAL ACTION

Imre Makovecz said to Magyar Nemzet he had not been aware of the fact that Gastorg Company was owned by ’Országépítő Alapítvány’, (Foundation for Building the Country).

Imre Makovecz, president of the board of trustees refused the allegations he had anything to do with Gastorg Company which gained profit by renting property in the IX. district. The architect awarded with Kossuth prize now considers a legal action. He has been president of the foundation since 1990 but it was not his responsibility to investigate the source of the incomes of the foundation. Mr Makovecz said the only connection between the foundation and Gastorg Company was the person of Péter Boross, ex-Premier but it is still not known who had registered the foundation as chief shareholder of Gastorg.
