AIRPORT SCANDAL IS INCREASING

Budapest Airport Company bought plots for HUF 23 500/m2 while State Motorway Management Company bought sites in the airport region ten times cheaper. Experts claim these sites can be bought for HUF 2000/m2. Magyar Nemzet has been informed that because of the scandal there are changes expected in the management of Budapest Airport Company.

The 20 hectares large site at Ecser is planned to house a logistic centre for the airport. Magyar Nemzet wanted to ask PricewaterhouseCoopers Ltd about the assessment of the plot but the firm would not give out any information. Several persons attached to the Hungarian Socialist Party took part in the preparation of the bargain for the Carion group which sold the site to Budapest Airport Company.
