According to László Kövér MP (Fidesz) the surfacing of agent lists which threatens the operation of secret services follows the central scenario written in the closest circle of the Premier and his main partner is the Alliance of Free Democrats. Gábor Kuncze, chairman of the Free Democrats said László Kövér suffered of paranoia. Mr Kövér, chairman of the national security parliamentary committee said to Vasárnapi Újság, a morning programme of the public radio yesterday that the bill of constitutional amendment in the present form would mainly harm the interests of the Socialist clientele now in function like bank leaders, media entrepreneurs, and high ranking officials of the Foreign Ministry.
László Kövér finds it curious that a small party which represents only 5 pc of the voters forces the Hungarian Socialist Party to follow its dictates in the educational reform and in the case of Communist informers. Mr Kövér said the events followed a central scenario and Premier Gyurcsány used the smaller coalition party to fight his opponents in his own party. ’The process is close to liquidating all Hungarian secret services’, Mr Kövér said, adding that it might be possible that other states in the region were interested to achieve this. Gábor Kuncze, chairman of the Association of Free Democrats said Mr Kövér was talking nonsense and he had not been reacting to these paranoid views for years.
