TICKET INSPECTORS SWARM IN METRO

The public transport company will start an unprecedented action tomorrow.

Tomorrow at several entrances of the Budapest underground ticket inspectors will receive passangers accompanied by security guards. The public transport company introduces a new method to reduce the number of people who dodge paying the fare. They check tickets and passes at the entrances instead of at the exits. The increased control will be maintained until the introduction of the chipcards. From tomorrow no one can enter the precincts of the metro without a valid ticket or pass.
