The document in the possession of Magyar Nemzet, coming from the Prime Minister’s cabinet makes it certain that the building of the locator will be started in 2006 as latest. In the document the government calls on the Minister of Defence to examine the possible sites for the radar locator to be deployed in Hungary 'with special regard to Zengő.’ Zengő hill is a strictly protected part of Mecsek region recognized by the European Union in 2002. The plan of the building has created a great wave of protests by local residents and the Greens.
