One of the competing companies has contested the tender. The winner of the tender will have to build out a system which facilitates a quick exchange of information about patients among hospitals. This year’s greatest programme in health informatics has been announced in a public acquisition tender but Fornax Holding contested the results of the tender worth HUF 700 million.
The company argues that the criteria of the judgment are not clear and the winners have been chosen subjectively. The quick exchange of information among hospitals is vital for the patients who will not have to go to several hospitals for further examinations only their laboratory findings circulate in the system. Minister János Kóka’s former company, Meditcom Ltd has been among the winners in the last round of the tender. The firm which organizes the tender (OKFON Company) finds the process legal though one of its officials recognized they applied subjective points of view in ranking the bids.
