SPECIALLY PROMPT INVESTIGATION AT MALÉV

The leaders of Malév Company have ordered an inner investigation to reveal how the confidential report addressed to the Premier and to the State Privatization and Holding Company had been leaked out to the press.

The report warned of the dangers of an immediate withdrawal of capital worth HUF 15-30 billion if the airline company was privatized while yesterday it turned out that there was HUF 7.4 billion on the current account of Malév which can raise serious doubts concerning the bid of HUF 161 million made by the Russian AirBridge Company. Fidesz wants a specially prompt investigation by the supervising committee of State Privatization and Holding Company in the case of Malév as they find the financial position of the company stable, there are no problems of liquidity and Malév plans to make a profit of HUF 100 million this year. Ferenc Papcsák MP (Fidesz) said to Magyar Nemzet there was the possibility of speculative capital standing behind the favoured Russian offer.
