CSABA HENDE LEAVES HUNGARIAN DEMOCRATIC FORUM

Though according to Károly Herényi, faction leader of the Hungarian Democratic Forum (MDF) there is no trouble in MDF after a ’Lakitelek work section’ had been formed criticising the policy of the party, Csaba Hende MP left MDF.

Yesterday Mr Hende left his party and the faction of the party. He explained this decision by the increasing uncertainty of the political direction of MDF and by the relations within the party. He criticized the resolution accepted by the national committee as it spoke about a new coalition without making sure it was a right or left wing coalition. He said '’such uncertainty and incalculableness is a mortal sin in a party’.

He has mentioned the affair of the dissolved MDF section in the II. district of Budapest and another case in Fejér county. Mr Hende said he wished success to the Lakitelek group which wanted to return to the roots of the party. Csaba Hende will work for half a year as an independent MP. Mr Hende was political state secretary in the Ministry of Justice led by Ibolya Dávid in the Orbán government, later he became the coordinator of civic circles in Fidesz at the request of Viktor Orbán.
