THÜRMER ACCUSES THE SOCIALISTS

’The Socialists wanted to bribe the Labour Party not to start at the EP election’, says Gyula Thürmer, chairman of the Labour Party. György Jánosi, who is alleged to make the offer, called Thürmer’s words ’the confused opinion of a troubled mind’.

’The Hungarian Socialist Party wants to swallow us at each election, they have tried it again’, said Gyula Thürmer in Nap-kelte, a morning programme of the Hungarian (public) Television on Sunday.

’Early this year György Jánosi offered a serious material recompensation if the Labour Party would not start at the election for seats in the European Parliament’ but Mr Thürmer refused the offer, saying ’The Labour Party is not for sale’. György Jánosi, chairman of the national committee of the Hungarian Socialist Party denies the charges saying he never met Mr Thürmer and the whole accusation is ’the confused opinion of a troubled mind’ though Mr Thürmer claims he has evidences.

Anyhow, the Labour Party is there at the EP election and its votes will be lost if they do not surpass the 5 pc limit.
