Hungarian Tourism Company has cancelled its contract with immediate effect with Szín-Lap deposit company organizing the festival at Tisza lake because the firm worked in a delayed and faulty way. The festival started on Saturday but it is questionable if it can go on in different villages around the lake until the end of August.
László Oláh, deputy general director of Hungarian Tourism Company said the deposit company had won a tender of HUF 30 million. Szín-Lap deposit company became known in 2002 when it built a skating rink in front of the Parliament building for the winter holiday. The owner of the company is László Hámori, father of a Socialist representative in a Budapest district. The mayor of Tiszafüred said it was obvious that the festival would be a failure.
