Indictment of Ildikó Lendvai’s former campaign chief
The police suggests indictment of Gábor Csonka, entrepreneur closely attached to the Hungarian Socialists, once the campaign chief of Ildikó Lendvai, faction leader of the Hungarian Socialist Party. It is Mr Csonka’s firm which prints the newsletter of the Socialists to this very day. The prosecutor’s office received the request of the police to indict Mr Csonka in the bribery case of the VI. district property management on September 7. Magyar Nemzet previously reported the existence of a tape recording in which Gábor Csonka recognized the receipt of HUF 5 million to bribe Tibor Kékesi, a Socialist MP. The MP refuted the charge while the entrepreneurs who had given the money claimed that they had to pay 10 pc of all commissions to the bank account of the Hungarian Socialist Party.
