It was the first time that the body of supporters of the association for ’Civic Government in 2006’ was convened to prepare the election programme and government role of Fidesz. Tibor Navracsics, the head of the association said they would do strategic research work in the field of economic policy and health among others and would also make analyses of political science, too. The members of the body of supporters include ministers of the former cabinet like György Matolcsy, István Mikola, József Pálinkás, István Stumpf, János Martonyi, and Péter Harrach. There are present in the body Zoltán Balog, chief adviser of church policy in the Orbán government , András Lánczi, philosopher, and Mária Schmidt, historian, general director of the Museum of Terror. Viktor Orbán, chairman of Fidesz has also attended the meeting. Tibor Navracsics said they planned for at least two government cycles but Fidesz probably would not use the same government structure as it was now. The coordination of the work of the party, the faction, and the association will be assigned to Viktor Orbán.
