Socialist sources claim Zsigmond Járai, president of the Central Bank may be removed by a law amendment. According to the informations of Magyar Nemzet the legal experts of the government are already working on the bill. The first step is to underline controversies between the president and the government: this has been achieved by the unparalleled move of the parliament on Monday when the government majority refused the accept the report of the Central Bank about the years 2002-2003. Ther next step will be probably the modification of the law about the Hungarian Central Bank. This would cancel the right of the president of the republic to dismiss the president of the bank: this right would go the the Prime Minister. The Socialist-Free Democrat government applied a similar tactics in removing Károly Szász, head of the State Supervision of Financial Institutions (PSZÁF).
