István Peták, member of the presidium of the board of the public endowment supervising the Hungarian public television delegated by the Hungarian Democratic Forum said they would gradually reduce the staff of the television almost to the half of the present one. Now there are 1700 people employed there and according to the reorganization plan in 2005 75 people would be dismissed. The plan of the lay-off has been criticized by many in the session of the presidium, too. The plan must be approved by the board of trustees delegated by civic organizations as well.
