The Ministry of Finance wants to employ VAT in the case of the so-called registration fee of used cars and motorcycles as well and the government does everything possible to increase its tax incomes because of the astounding state budget deficit. Last time it was the Minister of Finance who called on the heads of the Tax Office and the Customs and Excise Office to enhance their methods in a more effective way though the Tax Office collected in July HUF 13 billion more than in the given period of the previous year. Many entrepreneurs have lodged complaints against the Tax Office which levies more tax than it is legal and takes money from the personal bank accounts of entrepreneurs – this latter complaint is being investigated by the ombudsman, too.
