HOSPITAL STRIKERS GROW IN NUMBER

Recently workers of Pál Heim Children’s Hospital (Budapest) have joined the appeal for a strike announced by the Democratic Trade Union of Health Workers. More than one hundred workers have subscribed the appeal so far.

The goal of the strike is to ensure the necessary staff and material requirements to treat children more effectively. The appeal says the metropolitan self-government and the Ministry of Health are responsible for the situation. The nationwide hospital strike will be on October 7. The strike is not general as there are trade unions which do not support it at the moment.
