It can be twice or three times more expensive for the state and for the self-governments to introduce the two-level school-leaving this year than the traditional examination organized so far. The National Educational Examination Centre has issued a report about the additional costs of the plan, the sum is more than HUF 2 billion while last year this expense was HUF 950 million in the central budget. There must be some 1,2 million test papers to be printed and there will be 240 trucks necessary to transport this amount daily while the papers will be corrected in 100 schools, in 540 rooms daily. The tests must be translated into several foreign languages, too. The local xeroxing of the tests is not possible so they must be printed and packaged. There are subjects in which only one person is interested to sit for an examination – in such cases the examination can cost HUF 1 million for the state.
