From October a plastic card will be introduced for Hungarian patients who are treated in other member states of the European Union. At present the so-called E-111 certificate is necessary in case of accidents or illness occurring abroad. This means that Hungarian citizens get all services free of charge which are free in the given member state,too. The new plastic card will be valid for a year.
