RECONSIDERATION REQUESTED BY ÉLET ÉS IRODALOM

The political weekly Élet és Irodalom has appealed to the Supreme Court with a request to reconsider the valid verdict of the Metropolitan Court of Appeals obliging the weekly to publish a rectification. This news has been told by the legal counsel of the weekly to Népszava. Mónika Karas, lawyer of Szárhegy dülő Kft said this step served clearly the cause of ’keeping warm’ the affair of the vineyards in Tokaj in which the weekly had tried to involve the Orbán family. The series of articles containing libellous parts have been written by Attila Rajnai bearing the title ’Wine Battles in Tokaj’. Attila Rajnai has been paid a monthly HUF 300 000 from the taxpayers’ money by the Socialist-led self-government of Bács-Kiskun County to place articles in the press.
