As we highlighted in a previous article, PM Orban departed for Berlin on Monday afternoon. There, European Council President Charles Michel had organized a consultation on the European Union's strategic agenda with the participation of the leaders of several EU member states. PM Orban shared a post on his social media, writing:
I will discuss European affairs with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
"Our position is clear: for us, Hungary comes first!" - PM Orban writes.
According to Charles Michel's invitation letter, participants at the EU consultation - scheduled for Monday evening in the German capital - will continue discussions on the priorities for the next EU institutional cycle. This builds on the first exchange of views that took place in Granada, Spain.
The working dinner in Berlin will be attended by Prime Minister Viktor Orban, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the heads of state or government of Greece, Belgium, Austria, Lithuania and Cyprus.
