Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban spoke about his meetings in Paris, relations between France and Hungary and the future of the European Union in an interview with reporter Daniel Bohar posted on Facebook. The Hungarian prime minister highlighted that the relationship between the two countries is currently extremely good, both politically and economically.

Today, we have an exceptionally close cooperation with France, not only on political issues but also on economic matters,
said Viktor Orban, adding that he expects France to remain a significant investor in Hungary.
The Hungarian PM stressed that French political leaders - including past, present and future presidents - agree that they do not wish to transform the European Union into a kind of "United States of Europe".
This view aligns with the Hungarian position, PM Orban noted.
France is France. Everyone here is a patriot. Hungary is Hungary, and essentially everyone is a patriot, except for the left-wing opposition,
the Hungarian prime minister said, referring to the strong sense of national identity in both countries.
Finally, Viktor Orban stated that there would continue to be agreement that they do not want to turn Brussels into a "superstate" and do not intend to subordinate their independence and sovereignty to anyone, including EU institutions.
