Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Rebukes Hungary, Summons Ambassador

Ukraine’s foreign minister announced on social media that he had summoned Hungary’s Ambassador Antal Heizer to the ministry in Kyiv and handed him a formal note of protest.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto responded on X, questioning Ukraine’s definition of dialogue:

The attack on the oil pipeline — without which Hungary’s energy supply is impossible… is this also part of constructive dialogue?

As previously reported, following the most recent Ukrainian strike on the Druzhba ("Friendship") oil pipeline, Szijjarto announced that Hungary would ban the commander of the responsible Ukrainian military unit from entering both Hungary and the entire Schengen Area.

In turn, Sybiha issued a sharp message explicitly addressing Szijjarto by name:

How shameless to post this after the brutal attack by terrorist state Russia. Peter, if the Russian pipeline is more important to you than the Ukrainian children who were killed by Russia this morning, that is moral decay.
