Viktor Orban is having two important meetings with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. The Hungarian prime minister has already indicated that he decidedly intends to put Hungary's concerns regarding Ukraine on the agenda. According to the PM, it is unprecedented for a non-NATO member state – while seeking good relations with the alliance – to conduct a coordinated, funded, and organized smear campaign against a NATO member state. Hungary’s position is clear: neither Hungary nor NATO can stand by idly.

Orban: Ukraine’s Actions Are Beyond the Pale
Ukraine will be on the agenda,
the Hungarian prime minister declared. Viktor Orban strongly objected to the disrespectful and hostile behavior toward Hungary, a NATO member, by Ukraine, a country aspiring to NATO membership. The PM emphasized that the attacks on Hungary are not random or isolated incidents, but part of a deliberate, well-coordinated, -organized and -financed disinformation campaign, seemingly backed by Ukrainian intelligence. In his view, Kyiv has gone too far, and it's time for NATO to give a clear response.
This is unacceptable and NATO cannot tolerate it either,
Orban stressed, adding that he wants to assess how NATO leadership intends to deal with this unprecedented situation.
