Viktor Orban participated in a video conference convened by European Council President Antonio Costa, Hungary's state news agency MTI reported.

Antonio Costa convened the top-level video conference on Tuesday to prepare for next week's meeting on the war in Ukraine.
After the meeting, he posted:
Continuing to work on close European coordination, today French President Emmanuel Macron debriefed EU leaders on his meeting with US President Donald Trump earlier this week in Washington.
Costa described Wednesday morning's video conference as "very useful" in preparing for the extraordinary European Council meeting scheduled for March 6. He emphasized that at this summit, EU leaders will make decisions on support for Ukraine and strengthening Europe's defense.
Antonio Costa convened the extraordinary March 6 summit on Sunday evening. He justified his decision by stating that the current moment is crucial for the security of both Ukraine and Europe. In his announcement, Costa noted that during consultations, European leaders expressed their shared commitment to strengthening Europe's defense and contributing to the continent’s peace and Ukraine’s long-term security.
