The report made by András Tóth for the Prime Minister about the ’Mucuska-gate’ spy scandal is not objective and it is not identical with the official version of the report made by the Office, one of the leaders of the National Security Office claimed according to the daily Magyar Hírlap. The state secretary has recognized in an answer to Index his report put the emphasis on different facts but he has claimed the report was objective, using several sources, including references to opinions of MPs in the parliamentary committee of national security. Three MPs of Fidesz announced on Friday they would sue the state secretary for libel and they called on István Hiller, chairman of the Hungarian Socialist Party and other members of the government affected in the spy scandal to authorize András Tóth to publish the whole classified text of the records of tapped phone conversations. István Nyakó, spokesman of the Socialists said István Hiller had nothing to hide while Gábor Horn, member of the governing committee of the Alliance of Free Democrats said probably they would discuss the question today in a session of the faction. András Tóth in his report for Premier Gyurcsány mentioned only the confidential connections of three MPs of Fidesz with Tibor Szatmári, denied by the affected MPs while András Tóth missed even to mention Bálint Magyar’s and István Hiller’s alleged intimate relationship to Ildikó Szatmári, the news of which had sparked off the spy scandal.
